Citizens Who Care Presented It's Winter Annual Concert

"The Broadway Songbook of 1966"

on February 21 and 22, 2004

Songs were from these great shows:

· Cabaret       · The Fantasticks       · Fiddler On the Roof       · Golden Boy
      · Hello, Dolly!       · I Do! I Do!       · Mame       · Man of La Mancha
· On a Clear Day You Can See Forever       · Sweet Charity       · and more!

A tuneful salute to musicals playing on and off Broadway in 1966. It mirrors the changes in the cultural fabric of American life sparked by the 70 million post-war Baby Boomers who were becoming young adults. The result saw traditional-style musicals like Hello, Dolly! and Mame alongside such ambitious fare as Cabaret, Sweet Charity, and Fiddler On the Roof. It was a remarkable year, leaving a legacy of great shows and great songs, that were performed by Joe Alkire, Bob Bowen, Gwyneth Bruch, Richard Brunelle, Martha Dickman, Lenore Heinson, Stephen Peithman, Lenore Sebastian, Peter Shack, Roy Spicer.
