Volunteer Coordinator

Ellie Slaven joined the staff of Citizens Who Care in 1997 working as the Volunteer Director for the Woodland Convalescent Hospital Visiting Program. Her position evolved into managing all of CWC's program volunteers. Volunteer work has been a big part of her life. In 1990, after reading about toy libraries in Parents Magazine, Ellie proposed establishing one in Woodland to a mothers group she was involved with - FEMALE. She was an instrumental part of getting the Woodland Toy Library up and running. She volunteered extensively with her children's schools and their sports teams. She continues to volunteer when she can. Ellie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exercising, and is passionate about basketball - Go Kings!

Hiyasmin Espiritu joined the staff of Citizens Who Care in 2013. Hiyasmin has passion and enthusiasm for the elderly and caregivers and it shows in her work. "Working for Citizen Who Care, is a blessing. My heart truly lies in providing individuals with encouragement, support, and wisdom to live a life to the fullest. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients' lives and make a difference to them." Volunteer work has always been a part of Hiyasmin's life in some form or another such as volunteering at her son's school, and serving dinner to the less fortunate. Hiyasmin resides in Dixon with her son. In her free time, she enjoys photography.
